Bold Lip

This look is more of a sophisticated stand out look. Apply your favourite foundation which matches your neck and use some powder for your t-zone. Contour your cheeks and add a bit of contour under your bottom lip, this will make the bottom lip stand out a bit more. Use a tiny bit of bronzer where the sun would naturally hit your face (usually top of your forehead and cheeks).

Once thats done, you want to brighten up your face so use a concealer which is 1 or 2 shades lighter than your foundation in a triangle shape and blend that in by tapping it with either a sponge, fingers or brush. You want to set that straight away to ensure that concealer doesn't crease under your eyes so gently tap on a powder (preferably translucent). To finish off, add a tiny bit of blush just above your contour then highlight the top of your cheeks, nose and brow bones; don't be shy to go crazy with the highlighter!

Onto eyes, use a blending brush to apply a white/nude colour all over your eyelid then using the same blending brush, use a brown colour to lightly define your crease. Next is eyeliner, you want to make this bold. Start from the outer corner of your eye and draw a line following the same direction as your  bottom eyelid. Make this as long as you feel comfortable then from the line, draw towards the middle corner of your eye getting closer to the lash line. Now with eyelashes, curling them first does a lot trust me! Use an eyelash curler and gently curl them for now. Then I get my eyelashes, put the eyelash glue onto my lid as close to my real eyelashes as possible and use tweezers to press the eyelashes on where the glue is. Ensure all ends are stuck to the glue and wait for the glue to dry. To finish off, I curl the eyelashes again gently and put a tiny bit of mascara on my real eyelashes underneath so they blend in with the fake ones.

Last but not least, the red lip. I use the Russian Red lipstick from Mac which is a strong red. You can use a lip pencil to outline, however with this lipstick I get a thin lip brush, gently get lipstick product on the brush and use that to line my lips. Then put the lipstick on slowly (I usually make a mess with this step!). I would just leave it the way it is or put some clear gloss over the top depending on what you prefer!

Voila, got yourself a bold look for Valentines Day!

Rose Pink

This look is for you girls that want to lovely but natural!

You start off with your fave foundation with however you usually apply it but ensure it's blended in. With your eyebrows, I would recommend using an eyebrow pencil very gently with short strokes (but only if you need to). Then use a tiny bit of bronzer on your cheek bones to define them but still look completely natural. Then use concealer, 1 or 2 shades lighter than your foundation, under your eyes in a triangular shape and blend it in by tapping with either your fingers, brush or sponge. This method works wonders! Then use a tiny bit of translucent powder for your t-zone so you don't look too shiny but not too heavy on make up.

Next step: eyes. Use a blending brush to cover your eyelid with a white eyeshadow, then go over it with a light nude. Then use a dark brown with your blending brush for the crease but very lightly just to define. Then close to your lash line, pat on some light pink glittery eyeshadow with as much as you want a blend it all in. For your bottom lash line, use the same glittery pink eyeshadow with a pencil brush and run it from corner to corner but not as heavily as the top lid.  If you want your eyes to look a bit more defined, use a black eyeshadow and an angled brush as close as you can to your top lash line (this somehow makes the eyelashes look that little bit darker and defined). Once you're happy with the eyeshadow, move on to your eyelashes. Use an eyelash curler to curl your eyelashes then apply your mascara from the root of your lashes and slowly to the top.

To finish off the look, apply a bright pink blusher on the balls of your cheeks and drag it up slightly. Then highlight your nose, top of your cheeks and eyebrow bones. For lips, apply a light pink lip gloss.

Voila, got yourself a natural rose look for Valentines Day!
